There are a lot of decent options out there for "what to do" with unwanted gifts, and they include: giving them to friends and family OUTRIGHT, not as some type of faux gift in which you're pretending you bought it; giving them to charity; selling them on eBay. The only regifting that's OK as far as I'm concerned is new parents who are given 6 copies of "Good Night Moon" and 3 copies of "Pat the Bunny."
